Falmouth: Cape Cod Sea-Side Town
Capturing all the historic New England sea-side character one envisions at the mention of summer in Cape Cod, Falmouth is a coastal town comprised of eight villages. Spread along 68 miles of coastline, the town boasts ten main beaches and operates four ferry lines across Vineyard Sound for frequent access to Martha’s Vineyard. Visitors can explore the town by cycling the 10 mile bikeway that runs along the seaside, salt marshes and Falmouth’s working cranberry bog. Recently designated a Preserve America Community town, Falmouth continues to maintain its historic roots through the preservation of its town landmarks and regional lifestyle. Old Silver Beach, one of the most popular for its warm waters and close proximity to the town center, offers a stretch of white sand beach and access for both town residents and the general public. Away from the beaches, the town center offers a traditional Main Street USA feel, with local shops, restaurants and cafes lining the main thoroughfare.
