Montreal’s Le Chantauteuil Bistro & Bar

A small sized bistro & bar located in the Upper Town, Le Chantauteuil offers a relaxed setting that caters to locals late into the night. Originally opened in 1968  and gaining popularity as a “boîte à chanson” in the 1970’s, the bistro maintains an intimate and convivial atmosphere. The food selection ranges from the basics…sandwiches, burgers, pizza and pasta to bistro staples such as salade Niçoise, steak frites and duck confit. The draft beer selection keeps the choice simple, with the offerings beginning and ending with the Canadian micro-brew Boréale (rousse/red ale, noire/stout, blonde/ale and blanche/wheat) by the glass, pint or pitcher. Wine can be purchased by the glass, quart, half bottle or liter.
